Enlarge our ministry influence in the city

Philippians 2:1-5,21

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.

v.21 Everyone looks out for his own interests not those of Jesus Christ.

We cannot leave this planet without accomplishing our assignment here for God.

Fasting is a physical obedience that brings spiritual results. There is something powerful about doing a physical act of obedience that brings spiritual release. In Daniel chapter 10. We can see that Daniel was highly esteemed by God. Daniel did not fast for himself and we can see the results. Daniel did things that got the attention of God and he became a man of great influence.

This week let us give up the things we like so we can do what God likes.

God is calling His church to live for Him with a lifestyle that will leave a lasting impact in this world. For the world teaches us to live for self. And Jesus teached and showed us how to live for others. An unselfish life. A life that shows genuine interest in the well being of others. This will surely increase our influence in the city. As we arise and take our place as servants of the most high God at work, school in the neighborhoods, the victory centers, Het kan anders, the lifegroups and our own.

Let us have this attitude as we come to pray and fast this week. To be one in spirit and purpose.

Have a blessed week of prayer and fasting.
